Cookie policy
We set two cookies, both to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your choices and understand how it is used. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, do the same job. This policy covers both.
The cookies we set
We set two cookies, both to do with signing in. Both are strictly necessary for a service you have asked us to provide, so neither requires consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. That is why there is no cookie banner on this site: we have nothing to ask you to consent to.
| Cookie | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
apic_session | Keeps you signed in. It is HTTPS-only and restricted to this site, and the session it refers to is stored by us only in hashed form. It carries no advertising or tracking identifier. | Up to 30 days. Signing out clears it. |
apic_oauth | Set only while you sign in with Google or Microsoft, to complete the sign-in handshake with that provider and protect it against forgery. | 10 minutes. |
No advertising or analytics cookies
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, cross-site tracking, social media pixels or profiling. We do not sell or share this data with anyone.
We count page views with Umami, an analytics tool we host ourselves on our own infrastructure. It sets no cookies and records no personal data.
Managing cookies
Every browser lets you view and delete cookies and site data from its settings or privacy menu; search your browser’s help for “cookies”. Because the only cookies we set are for signing in, clearing them simply signs you out — nothing else is affected.
Changes
We may update this policy if what we store changes. The “last updated” date shows when it last changed.
